Looking to upgrade rotors and pads on the old bus. 2000 ZD30. Have had slotted RDA before with good results BUT.... having moved to the top of the Great Dividing Range in Armidale, any time we travel back coastal for camping with 1.5t camper in tow we need to go 'down the hill" with steep descents for about 10-15km.
Having an auto and using 2nd gear with camper in tow still wants to push down hill too much so constantly on/off the brakes where I cooked the old brakes and replaced the pads but the rotors show the heat thats been in them recently.... and need to be replaced.
What would be the best rotor/pad combo for towing a 1.5t braking & heat dispersion?
