All comments I do agree with... I didn't really have a choice on colours, the car sold it'self to me. 32xxxkm's in an 07 can't really go past at the price.

So would that mean my signature could read #1 black GU owner haha.. I'll throw a few photo's up when i can.

welcome 685wrc, mmm i love black , if i had enough doe to buy a newer model , i would have chosen silver or black , black looks sweet , get some big muddies and turn the white writing on the inside of the car , black everything !!!!!!

if the price is right , sounds like a great deal mate !

Over here the Police armed offenders squad use them.

Was working on a job late last year and about 7 big black gu wagons with tinted windows, bull bars etc all towing black trailers drove past.

looked friggin good!

Anything black looks cool until it spends a day in the bush !!!
In my experience white or silver/grey are the two colours that tend to hide the scratches......... black everything shows up on it.

Depending on what you use it for, but the first bit of bush or scrub is going to leave long white scratches down the sides. If you are going bush ... a few skinns maybe a worthwhile investment.

In the meantime you probably have the best looking GU.............for now

Cheers Polar Bear.. Yeh I've just upgraded from an old model Hilux so I know about scratches etc and the probably life of this one. Although will be trying my best to be as kind to it as I can be.

As for skins, I was going to look into getting the side panels clear vinyl covered to try preserve the paint...

Might not be many, but there are a few around. I knew all the con's of having a black one. But I love the Black, Bought mine brand new. Looked at black and just had to have it. Had it 4 years and wouldn't have another color by choice.

Cheers Macca

mine's black. When patrol hunting this one had most of what was on my shopping list already done so I bought it. As I was looking for a TI they were few and far between so I wasn't being too picky on color (I do like black though - it does get extremely hot inside in summer!)

I can imagine how that would look, I saw a similar site whilst in Europe however they weren't patrols...

Sounds like time for that black tint, black steelies and 35's for mine...

Looks good Macca, I have to say looks good there. How have you coped with tree branches etc? It's good to see it dirty, I've not had a chance with mine yet.

That was how this one was, had what i wanted and it sold itself. I orriginally wanted the dark blue however walking back to the car last night at the shops I have to say I'm happy with the black. Although when it comes to cleaning all those panels I might say something else until it's clean haha.

As for hot, can imagine but that's what the air con is for :)

The add is a little wrong. Claims it is an ST-S. No ST-S badge on the back. The ST-S also has Seude seats (Alcantara) which is does not have, seat tray tables and ABS also missing as per photo's. Might also find he is also wrong about the km's.

Nice car none the less. Wonder what they will get?

I was wondering what the 'S' was. As for some of the 4.2's on the market, when you compare to Redbook some people are dreaming for the money. However I suppose if someone is willing to pay it then good on them...

Thanks Brett, yeah I like it. Umm yeah does have a few scratches but I found out by accident while cleaning the snorkel that armoural hides scratches better than any polish. Not sure if it does any damage to the paint longterm though. I have added a pic with my black rims and simex tyres, it might help you to decide if you want to buy another set of rims. Personally I prefer the black rims.

Cheers Macca
