Purchased a Blackwolf Turbo 240 tent today and wondering if it is necessary to give the tent & the fly a soaking before using as you do with normal canvas products to seal the seams

Cant see anything about this in the instructions that came with it

I did with my Turbo 300. I don't know if it's necessary but it can't hurt. It also gives you a chance to set it up at home to check if it's all there. Nothing worse than getting to your campsite and pulling it out of the bag for the first time and finding you have no pegs or poles or there's a manufacturing defect. Mine's been through some pretty severe weather and has never let a drop in. However, you do get a bit of condensation inside if you don't have the window flaps open or pegged out.

just remember not to pull everything tight when wetting it down , leave it set up a bit loose so the cnvas can shrink and seal
