A mate as an old van that we're fixing up.
We want to lengthen the axle by 60-80mm to bring the wheels closer to the outside edge.
Thinking of cutting adding 60-80mm and replacing with solid 40x40 than sleeving over the lot.
or something else?
Now, all the welding will be done by him, and welding and fabricating for buses, ambulance and fire truck is wat he does for a living, so the fab side of things is not an issue!!
We need to know is it legal to cut and lengthen the axle? and wat is the best way to do it?
Or just better off buying a longer axle? (he does get upset having to buy thing if he can modify wat he's got!!!!)
