Hi All,

on my GU3 DX, I have central locking but only by putting the key in the drivers door lock and turning it to unlock. I have two keys the same, just a square plastic thing, no remote.

How easy is it to make it remote, is it as simple as buying a remote key or transmitter and having it programmed to lock/unlock the doors.

I bought a remote locking kit CH043 Universal CAR Remote Central Lock Locking Keyless Entry System KIT | eBay and a single actuator for the drivers door CAR Locking System 5 Wire Single GUN Type Central Door Lock Actuator Auto Motor | eBay.

I haven't fitted it yet but it won't be too hard. And it'll be nice not to use the key

It's all fitted and works just fine. I didn't bother hooking up the horn and flashers, though.
