Hi hope all had a great Xmas. After a bit of info about GQ aircon compressors.
After breaking a hose fitting off my 1991 gq compressor I ordered one through a wreaker which arrived the day before Christmas but when I opened the box I have found the sent me a 1994 later model compressor with different mounting & hose fittings.
Since I need to replace the broken hose also I thought I might buy another mounting bracket & 2 hoses that suits the compressor that was sent to me rather than posting it back from Gold Coast to Sydney. My question is has anyone done this swap before & will the belt thats on it already fit. Are the bracket mounting bolts on the block the same for both brackets.
My vehicle is a gq 1991 tb42s. THANKS for any help.

I don't know with certainty, but I'd say that the correct bracket for your new compressor will align it to the harmonic balancer pulley. Many parts interchange between the carby and efi motors, you were a bit stiff to get something that didn't bolt straight in.
