Has anyone converted a 92 model Nissan GQ's brakes from drum to disk? I assume the axle needs replacing - anything else? Is it a viable proposition? Or is it better to upgrade the vehicle?
I've had considerable problems with the drum slave cylinders popping their rubbers (3 times in 3 years & having to have the slaves replaced).
I often tow a Jayco Outback camper with the vehicle.

I had an 88 GQ where I changed the drums to disks. The best thing to do is get an entire axle, disk to disk, and a rear disk brake proportioning valve. I left the original brake master cylinder and had no issues. Just make sure that you get an axle with the same diff gearing as the front, unless you want to start changing ring and pinion gears.

Cheers
