Hi All,

I have to replace one of these and wanted to know which is easier, inserting the wire in the flare before it is attached to the guard or after it is attached to the guard.

Before, it's still hard, spray a heap of wd-40 in there befor you start, makes it so much easier

what are you putting them on? GQ???
they should be inserted after fitting to make fitting the rubber easier.
if it's on a GQ then you will struggle to get it in at all!!
i fitted fexiflares and left the wire out!

Yup, definately before, you wouldn't stand a chance after.

it's a hell of a lot easier to slide it in before but makes fitting a nightmare...
my flares sit perfectly without the wire+they are more flexible.

Thanks for the responses. Flares are going onto a GU have moved on from the GQ. (I do miss the thirsty TB42 GQ sometimes). Sounds like going without the wire is the go if it looks like [email protected] I can always slide the wire in.

Had to by a mudflap from Mr Nissan... fark!!! 'That'll be $180 please sir.:shock: WTF!!! oh ok I will do it trade $140' Did not have much choice as the other side has the genuine Nissan flap on it.
