i'm moving stuff in the engine bay to fit a TD24T airbox and an ARB duel battery tray.
its a TB43e motor
now i know roughly wat i have to do, but also i wanna clean it up

i've stumbled upon this




what is it? do i need it?
and how do i get rid of it??


any help would be great, caue i cant do much until i know wether to keep it or bin it...

You need it. It is the charcoal canister for emissions.
You can mount it to the chassis rail between the power steer & radiator hose...

ETA: RE: relocation, Maybe not as I just looked at the pic. With my 5 litre you can as the engine is not as long as the 4.2

You could probably relocate it to the otherside between washer bottle & drivers headlight.
You would have to drill a hole through the floor to vent fuel when over filled etc or run a hose off the bottom to atmosphere. Use some longer vacuume & fuel hose and it should be fine...

go to the wreckers and wonder around and see what other shapes/ sizes you can find you might find a smaller one to fit in easy
