Clutch problem.

Hey fellas, my clutch has recently developed an unusual problem. It's kinda hard to explain but here goes. When I push it in and out it grabs then lets go . If I push it in and try to let it out smoothly it comes out a little at a time. its really annoying to drive especially with heaps of stopping and starting. Ive checked the clutch fluid its fine and there are no leaks. Any ideas what it could be?. Cheers.

I have read in this forum of people having issues with the pivot lever (also known as the withdrawal lever) which operates the clutch snapping off on one side of the "Y"

When this happens the clutch can stick and not release properly.

Other things which can cause the clutch to jam up is the springs falling out of the clutch plate. I have had this happen on a few vehicles over the years.

Cheers Ric
Could be the thrust race is sticking on the shaft.

Yep that's what I was talking about. It sticks because of uneven pressure when the pivot lever is broken on one side from what I have read.
I'll see if I can find the threads on the subject.
