Hi All
Wondering if i can get some advice
started patrol today for 1st time in months as i put in new batteries and when i depress clutch it is whirring. its quite loud also you can hear it very clearly standing beside the vehicle but it tottaly is gone when clutch out.

Whats the verdict?

When i let clutch out it still grabs and will stall but the noise disappears......

And how much it gonna cost me to get replaced mechanic to do as i not that handy.....

might as well do some work to gearbox as it pops out of third when back off throttle under 1800rpm...........

****e just before xmas

Jace,
It sounds like the thrust bearing is either seized and/or dryed out.
being that the vehicle has not been started in a while it would have had a chance to seize.
It may free itself up in time.
As for costs, i really couldnt tell ya sorry mate.

thanks mate
ive mad sure its been started every cpl of weeks but i havnt moved it in a while.

im really not sure what it is will it do much damage taking it for a quick run to see?
or should it be towed?

with the thrust bearing will it only damage the clutch further by not applying pressure and allowing it to slip or does it do something else?

any advice appreciated as i did want to use it over the next 2 weeks but now im not so sure.

too many cars to drive not enough hours!
