Hey guys it happened once before while back but twice today my zd30 patrol shook quite a bit on cold starts and it can't be the duel mass flywheel because it has a solid conversion. So does any one have any ideas? The pAtrol has 170xxx ks
My sons 2004 zd30 with 109k had the cold morning shakes and it was the glow plugs, 2 tips missing and the other 2 were not as bad, genuine from Nizzbits $66ea delivered, all good now.
No steam or white smoke at all, I pulled the plug out for the glow plug and man it had a bit of calcium build up so I cleaned it up and starts good now but will do the plugs any ways

I would do the glow plugs. Mine is 104k kms and one of the tips was dancing on top of the piston. How do I know? It's apart at the moment!
Also a couple of diesel places recommended to change them at 100k km intervals for this reason.
There's divits on the top of the piston and an a few on the head but the majority on the piston. If the head hadn't cracked I'd be none the wiser.
The dealer won't warrant any work done unless at the very least the piston is replaced as the diviting he says may cause hot spots and the crown may delaminate. Not sure about the latter though.
