Bit of info from my Local Chemist
Dear Ross,

The Prime Minister has recently announced some tighter restrictions on businesses and social activities Australia-wide. These measures are in place to protect Australians from contracting COVID-19 (coronavirus), and to ease the pressure on our public health system.

Please rest assured that Infinity Pharmacy Bli Bli remains OPEN for business and is committed to ensuring that the best possible care for our customers continues.

Changes to the supply of some prescription and over-the-counter medicines:

From March 20th, the Australian government has placed limits on the dispensing and supply of some essential medicines.
  • ONE MONTH'S SUPPLY of prescription medicines
  • ONE PACK of certain over-the-counter medicines
  • Pharmacists are required to label all asthma reliever inhalers (e.g. Ventolin, Asmol)
These measures will ensure fair and equitable access to medicines for all our customers. We thank you for your understanding.

Just a reminder...

DO NOT come in to the pharmacy if you have been diagnosed with COVID-19, or have been asked by health authorities to self isolate. This includes when you are on your way home from the doctors. Call us, and we will help you organise what you need from the pharmacy.

If you are feeling unwell and are concerned you may have contracted COVID-19, you can:
Complying with social distancing rules

A good way of slowing the spread of viruses like COVID-19 is to ensure that we all practice social (or physical) distancing. The more space there is between us, the harder it is for the virus to spread.

If you need to come into the pharmacy, please try to keep a safe distance away from staff and other customers (at least 1.5 metres is recommended).

Limit the time spent in store by ordering your medications in advance for pick up. Give us a call to check the best way of placing your order if you are unsure. Keeping your prescriptions on file is a good option.

We may be also able to help you with home delivery of your pharmacy order - give us a call for more information.

We thank you for helping us to make the pharmacy a safer place for everyone.

We are concerned for every member of P4x4, as well as the rest of AU and the World during this time of crisis. With so much misinformation out there we try to supply the basics of what you need to know. This is not a time of panic, it is a time of common sense and thinking about others. I particularly follow the Worldmeter, posted above, and when you click on Australia it takes you to localised info and graphs, specific to us. We are taking control of our borders and the US is now ground 0. Follow the rules and stay safe guys.

Latest and updating Coronavirus information

A big shout out to all the frontline workers who keep us safe and going, Doctors, Nurses, other Health Workers, Ambulance Personnel, Police, Shop Assistants, and many others. We should all remember this during our time of crisis:

Not official Govt Document, but a recommendation, with flu season approaching please get your shots, there are no valid excuses not to, what we don't need at this time is people further overwhelming the hospital system with garden variety flu issues. I'm booked in for end next week, being an old bastard we have a special dose and my Doctor is waiing for it.

Considering we have one of the highest testing regimes in the world these latest stats are quite encouraging, just hope people don't become complacent, events seen on beaches over the weekend would suggest some people consider life very cheaply. Stay safe guys.

When you look at the figures for the world, it gives some hope that we are doing OK, complacency is the only thing that can get us at the moment.

Total cases for the world still spiking heavily.
