Yesterday when cleanin the GU, i decided to pop the bonnet,
clean out the enginebay of all the leaves, grease up the battery terminals n stuff..
Whilst i was admirin the enginebay with ciggy in hand as you do,

in the corner of my eye i saw my can of CRC Beltgrip on the shelf.

Heck why not, it couldnt hurt..

Lets give the GU some love, i thought.

Got down under the engine and squirted all the belts,
Now proud of my achievement, i cranked it over.

WTF?? ive destroyed the quiet engine i had,
now rattlles squeeks, Panic set in immediately.

Rang my Mechanic, to see if he had a hoist free, and bolted down.
He pissed himself laughin at me,
his comment was... that belt grip sh=chit, is his arch enemy,
does more bad than good,
and we reversed my love actions with
good ol Greek Mechanics Windex... WD40

and violla, all back to normal..

Anyone else found that this CRC Beltgrip has done this to a diesel,
coz my can is almost empty, been usin it for litterally years on so many cars.
