Hi All
I was talking to a mate last night who is a Nissan mechanic and he was telling me that on the 40k service they change fuel filter and reset cpu as it increases fuel pressure over time to allow for increase in restriction of filter. When a CRD comes in blowing smoke or using excess fuel that is the first thing they check as people change filter and it doesn't get reset, I have worked on diesels most of my life and haven't heard of this but does any one know if this is true or can it be done at home? I also find it hard to believe that ECU wouldn't detect new filter flow if this was the case and adjust itself?
