hi People I have seen some great advice and tricks on here so I hope theirs some to help with my fault :headwall:

I have a GU6 patrol and in the last 3 weeks it has had a starting fault were it will need to crank over 6 time to firer with a puff of white and black smoke so over fueling it will do this hot or cold and there is no time frame on when it could be stopped for 5 mins or 10 hours and still do it
I have connected a scan tool and found no code and all the sensors are reading in the green.
when I drive there is no problems it goes like a dream I have tested the glow plug system and its working 12v for 6 seconds but not tested the individual plugs yet.
any ideas???

I had a similiar problem. It was caused by the starter motor working at a lower RPM then it was meant too. The starter motor was corroded due to lots of mud puddles. The starter was reconditioned and I have not had the problem re occur after 2 years.
