custom intercooler

has any one heard or seen someone run two topmount intercoolers one with fan for slow driving as having an interccoler with out much cool air going throw it is a waste of money and one with out a fan for high way driving as a fan slows down air at around 100kmh or would that be over kill. any sugestions would be good
