2003 ZD30 Di Patrol (The rare Gold one)
The head bolts are friggin huge and are normally used in top alcohol engines. Lots of work to get them to fit.Impressive. It is pretty amazing what power is possible from some pretty small motors when they start off as a reasonably good design for high flow and then are really maximised for high air density and fuel to match. That must really test the Subaru's notoriously leaky head gasket. I bet that is not standard anymore.
His daily drive up until a while back was a 10 sec street legal WRX. (1st manual WRX to run 10s in Australia.) Pump unleaded fuel and street tyres. He did at one time launch a head off that engine. Then again his number plates read 80OST.
