Personal experience, I've had a twin-locked Patrol and I would not do it again unless it was a comp truck. The Patrol rear LSD is the best 4WD diff on the planet. Just leave it there. Put an ARB front locker in and call it good.
Before you get the center installed it'll be worth giving the LSD a freshen up, they can be shimmed up to work very effectively.
After 35 odd years and a few hard yards it probably won't be as tight as new.
Hi I am new to the scene when it comes to MK/MQ patrols. I have a 1986 SD33T MK,
I have an electrical issue some where.
My head lights won't turn on, I have no horn, interior clock and radio do not work, hazards lights also don't work. Dash lights as well.
Blinkers works fine, cig lighter...
Hi, iv been grazing about for a few years and after modifying a few vehicles, i figured i would do a build thread of my mq patrol and its progress.
Its my second MQ my last was a swb that i never truly completed, so after 6 years i started keeping my eye out and picked this one up.
hi guys, just wondering if there are any other transmissions that fit or come close to fitting an sd33t, looking to do a random project and want to put an sd33t in a car that's 2wd, or are you able to remove the transfer case and utilize the main part of the trans?
