I need to replace rear rotors on my 2005 4.2td wagon and while I’m at it I’ll replace the front.

My question is -

Are there good and bad rotors, are they all the same - any recommendations appreciated

shakey55 they're not all the same. Like everything in the auto world there are cheap copies. I would suggest genuine, RDA or DBA. Be careful of the so called "high performance" slotted and drilled cheapos on eBay.

After much research I went for RDA slotted and dimpled and it was the best thing I ever did for brakes, been on for a few years now with absolutely no regrets.

Ross, what pads are you using again...? Genuine Nissan 4.8's ?
Yes, still fantastic stopping power and no crap build up on the rims, love them.

I replaced mine F/Rear. with Bendix slotted and matching pads.
Towing a 3+ ton caravan, Tinny on roof. av weight over scales around 6.2 ton.
They smooth as, and pull up evenly every time.

Sorry. I can't remember now. was about 8 yrs ago. Pre D-Max.
I do remember the Safari Solid Flywheel and H/D Clutch ASSY cost me $2,650
supply and install.
Was VERY happy with both while I had veh.
Current owner still is and he uses O.Road.

No experts around at the moment, assuming discs are RDA as well, should be fine.

Have had them on my patrol for 4 yrs now and still on the same pads. Haven't had any issues with them and patrol pulls up ok for a heavy thing.
