I have been asked quite a few times to post this up, but I was pretty reluctant as I didn't want it advertised all over the net.

It started life as a 1998 GU TB45 wagon. I brought it off gumtree in the middle of the night. I rang the number and the guy said there is someone coming to look at it tomorrow morning and that who ever rocks up with the money first gets it. I swiftly headed out side and dug up 10k, loaded into the car and headed off to Shepparton at around 10pm. We got there just after midnight, went for a test spin, signed some transfer papers, handed over some foldy stuff and headed on home.

It had all the usual mods, Roof rack, 33'' muddies, Front locker, winch.
I got some extras with it too like a few dints in the doors, the winch only went one way, a slight miss, out of date gas tank and best of all after going up the mountains to fix a mates broken cruiser, It blew up and ended up getting towed home by the very car we went to rescue.

The plan from day 1 was to put a TD42 in but I wasn't expecting to do it that quick.

Ill have to start finding some photos from the early days. The pics of the dual cab chop were on here but have going missing ( wonder how that happened) so give me some time because I want to start from the beginning.

As it sits now the list goes something like
Dual cab, with full canopy
Swing away tire carrier
Built in kitchen with SMEV 3 burner and sink (plumed to water n gas)
in cab storage system for 2 x 100 AH deep cycles, fridge, oven, BCDC 1240
TD42 with a bit of love inside it
UFI turbo
12mm pump
CC intercooler
Micks Projectors
Recaros on both sides
Portals with Pneumatic hubs, lockers and **** looking rims
Long range tanks
big radiator and alternator
4'' snorkel and induction system.
and heaps of other stuff like staircases and tablets..

Sounds like quite a setup, I wouldn't mind doing a dual cab chop on mine eventually. Interested in pics of your interior and also your kitchen setup.

This is the oldest pics I can find, due to apples amazing iphone deleteing everything when I updated :( and being lazy and never backing anything up.
Lets pretend its from the day I got it, The reality is I had alreay blow it up and put A TD42 in lol

Again I have lost all the chop pics, These are the ones a SMSed to my missus while building it. That tray no longer exists, I used around 10 cans of supercheap auto $4 cans, IT looked mint for the first 2 days and then went yellow. I had people in the steet ask my wtf I was thinking with a yellow tray on a white ute.
The pics are shocking on here, but they are alot clearer on my PC, if anyone knows how to get them better on here and want to teach me?
I made every panel on the back, I get asked all the time what car they are off lol.

Pulled out 10 years of dodgy wiring, some that scared me a little bit also.
Fabed up a bracket to hold the RAM mount. A windows surface pro goes in there with all the mapping and porn

Well done mate that's an absolute truckload of work involved in all that, I admire your motivation.

I sweated it when I got busted washing my winch rope in the washing machine, then almost got caught heating my crownwheel in the kitchen oven when I replaced my front air locker with a Detroit, but building a motor in the LAUNDRY?

You are THE MAN!!!

anytips for dual cab chop. as im hoping to chop my gq once my new house built.
Silicon bronze mig wire & Aluminized mild steel for all panels is about the best advice you could get.

Yeah it goes alright, the main thing is that it goes and then comes back lol

she seperated a growth plate in her knee, I recon the bandage did more damage then just leaving it alone. She is all good now, still ugly tho
