how can i set dwell angle. i have never done it before. i have b42s. is there any special/expensive tool i need?

get a copy of a patrol manual for specs, you'll need a set of feeler guages. if you dont like points (like me) upgrade to a electronic style system. they sell on ebay for around $160. im thinking about putting a pertronix/piranha system in my tb, just need to scrounge around for some cash.

Timing light and a 10mm spanner... (I think its 10mm, been so long I could be wrong)

If it is an EFI then borrow or hire the timing light as it is very unusual for the Dwell to change once set.

Feeler gauges as well if it isn't an EFI as stated above

does pertronix have any afect on dwell angle?

it eliminates the need for points and works on a hall effect pickup. no points, no problems (so far)
