The article states "only a small number of Saabs and a few VE series II Commodores are compatible" Not sure why only a "few" VE series II Commodores get the nod.So they say its not everything its cracked up to be
Cant use it in outboards [it attracts water] or should i
say not recomended
Not good for most cars
Does that mean Gov & greenies have won!
if you want cheeper fuel, buy a new car
are all new models set up to run E85
just a thought thats all
Daryl
ED Zackery! couldn't have put it better myself! The octane is lower- most studies say you'll used around 30% more, so untill it's 30% cheaper its a pointless excercise ( plus youd need to be saving a motza to make the engine damage economically viable)
The caltex at Alex hills.Where can you get e85? Not even seen it before.
I will NOT put that Caltex crap in my trollThe caltex at Alex hills.
Look left the next time you fill up the GU there.
Bullsh17ethonol 85 octane, almost all new cars can run on it even the sticker under the fuel door of our SSV Commodore sas so. the result is lower burn temp thu useing more fuel but the goverment & greenies would like us to believe "CHEAPER" because of the low octane you cant achieve as high hp readings as regular unleaded or 98....
good stuff if you're not chasing fuel economy but not many people know the properties of the fuel and bag it out. it shouldn't be sold at the pump.its like running methanol in race cars. you get a bigger bang but you use twice as much and also burns alot cooler.
The old diesel wasn't much good but the new Vortex Diesel is definantly a better fuel.I will NOT put that Caltex crap in my troll.
I'm a bp man!
Really? How much bettr? I'm interested. The old diesel wasn't much good but the new Vortex Diesel is definantly a better fuel.
I fill up with BP if I can't find Vortex now. Won't touch the rest.
