i have boost and pyro guage to keep an eye on things . dawes /needle isnt needed on CRD zd30's
better computer management or something. my boost hasnt changed at all from egr block or from the 3" exhaust. i reckon the egr block is the easiest mod on a crd.10-20 mins and its done. just use new gaskets, i tried to use the old one with mufler gasket goo but leaked a bit and had to redo it.
if you try and block it off where you took the photo you need to unbolt the egr cooling radiator ( the shiny tube thing) but if you block it behind that (where the egr pipe starts to go around the back of the firewall) its just 2 x 14mm bolts

Block it there at the EGR Valve

Block it there at the EGR Valve. Get a second gasket from nissan and put your block plate in between with gasket on each side.

Remove the Intercooler as it makes it easy to get at then. You will need a scanguage 2 as you will get the odd P0401 Error thrown up which will need to be cleared.

Eliminates the turbo lag off idle and gives a slight increase in fuel economy plus no exhaust gas into the motor.

It's all good.

Right where the pipe meets the EGR Valve housing

Right where the pipe meets the EGR Valve housing as shown in the photo. This stops the pressure going down the tube when the EGR Opens as there is no exhaust gas to push into the inlet system.
