Hi All,

2001 Patrol GU 3.0TD SII.
The wiring plug that connects to EGR Solenoid has about 2-3 strands with corrosion and have broken next to the plug.Have attached image.
As it will not start now and can not drive to auto electrician can this plug be purchased and reconnected as there is plenty or excess from wiring loom.
Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks
TheoGu
Not impossible to source a renew replacement connector, but you won’t get it from Nissan so you’d have to do some research and find an alternative source. I’ve done it in the past with some connectors with varying levels of success and a lot of frustration.

Easiest would be to find one from a wreckers. Cut it from the donor harness with ~100mm of wiring and splice it into your harness.

Will give it another go.This morning it started and runs on idle for little bit then starts to run rough and then stalls.
Have no engine light or codes showing.Have replaced new fuel filter, primer and water sensor.
Sounds to me like it’s running out of fuel. You sure you don’t have an air leak somewhere in the fuel system?

Thank you all for responding.
Have been under neath vehicle several times from back to front engine bay and have not been able to find any leaks from metal fittings rubber hoses steel lines or from Carter lift pump itself.
Air could get in somewhere without fuel getting out. @geeyoutoo can give you a detailed description on how to check for air in the fuel system on a Di by using some clear hose. I have a CRD so not familiar with the exact process.
