Hi All,

2001 Patrol GU 3.0TD SII.
The wiring plug that connects to EGR Solenoid has about 2-3 strands with corrosion and have broken next to the plug.Have attached image.
As it will not start now and can not drive to auto electrician can this plug be purchased and reconnected as there is plenty or excess from wiring loom.
Any help would be appreciated.

Will give it another go.This morning it started and runs on idle for little bit then starts to run rough and then stalls.
Have no engine light or codes showing.Have replaced new fuel filter,primer and water sensor.

Thank you all for responding.
Have been under neath vehicle several times from back to front engine bay and have not been able to find any leaks from metal fittings rubber hoses steel lines or from Carter lift pump itself.

Hi Ross,
Yesterday I replaced the carter 4601 lift pump which is mounted at rear with a brand new one in case it was Faulty.
The vehicle has always cold started first pop and will hold idle and will reach operating temps on idle If you drive off it will then start to splatter and stall and will then not start.
Again will cold start next day and idle till you switch off and wait a few minutes then engine will not start.
Now with the new carter lift pump it will start for 2-3 times before spattering less and less then stalling.
Today I have taken IC off and checked spill lines and around injector pump / lines again and can not see any leaks.
Will get some clear hose and check for air in system.

Replaced hose from fuel filter to pump with clear hose.Started up and once clear hose filled with fuel no air bubbles.Started up again no bubbles in clear hose but as mentioned before will idle and then splutter and stall.It seems on warmer days it will start to splutter a lot quicker then on cold days.
The spluttering is getting less and less but it still ends up stalling the engine.
I noticed the Provent 200 catch can filter had white paste
see attached image.
Will take IC off and check mist from GP.

Hi,
Removed IC and GP and started all cylinders had mist coming out.
Also had to replace 2 vac hoses from sensor under IC that runs to throttle body solenoids.
As before will start and run once you switch off go to restart after 5 minutes will start and run little bit then stall.
Checked ecutalk and had fault code 95 turbo pressure which was not there last time I started.Could the sensor under IC be faulty?

Can you recommend diesel mechanic in southeastern melb I can take vehicle to get looked at.
