If the plug that you think is leaking is just in front of the engine mount, then like in your picture above, it should have a plug in it. It is a metric thread, and the plug can be removed with an allen key. Normally, it will be very tight. This plug is in the oil gallery, and is often removed to get an oil feed for a turbo.

I would remove the liquid metal and see what is behind it. If someone has tried to remove it once before, then it may be damaged. If the thread in the block is still ok then you can put a new bung in it.
