Just in for 90000km service at nissan and had to have belt tensioner replaced (again) as quite noisy. They replaced that and there was still a noise there which they diagnosed as exhaust manifold gasket leaking. This also revealed 3 broken studs. Has anyone else had this issue and know what causes it? Nissan say they aren't sure. Its all being repaired under warranty.

Do you mean these bolts? If so, they have probably broken them while trying to get the manifold on/off.

Common problem on them. Do them all the time at work.
It's mostly the front 2 studs that are usually broken which then
Causes it to leak.

Do you also see that the exhaust manifold has a 1.4mm bend in it. Nissan say there is only one new manifold in Australia. Been waiting 4 days for it already and there not even sure when it is coming. Number 4 piston is where the exhaust gasket has leaked and the 3 studs around it broken. Seems like a lot of heat being generated around number 4 piston. I dont have EGT gauge as yet to tell temps.
