fitting a 6.5 v8 turbo to a 2.8

my 2.8 is a little asthmatic to say the least anyhow ive got a good v8 6.5 chev turbo engine here and can certainly make it fit.

is there an adaptor to the 2.8 box or do i find a zd30 box??

as the td42 is very scarce here.

alternatively is there a better gearbox i could use?

I can get propshafts altered and weld on engine mounts.

i see theres a good site from poland www.karlowicz4x4.pl which do conversions.

any more info would be appreciated. Thanks

Am I correct in thinking that the 2.8's gearbox is the same as a r33 gtst skyline? If so they have proven to be plenty durable.
A lot of people think the Rd28 box is the same as the GTR box (GTST is RWD only) but I can't see it.
Have to check but don't think the GTR box has that 1" extra bit on the bell housing to allow for the Rd's D.M.F.
GTR box has completely different gear ratios.
GTR box has the ATTESSA system operating the transfer case, not just a power divider but a hydraulic clutch system for the front wheel assist.
A lot of components may be interchangeable, but they're certainly not the same box.
I was under impression they are the 300zx box?
Well the Z cars are only RWD, so completely different gear case and mainshaft plus those "unique" Rd28 ratios rules out using the gear sets.
I think the Rd box must be a 1-off.
