Hey guys,

im gonna fit my pillar pod and gauges this weekend but i dont know where to connect into for the boost.
my truck is a 2004 st patrol 4.2l turbo intercooled. does anyone have a photo of where to connect to?

Hey Ash,

I connected my boostgauge line from the intercooler pipe, theres a small pipe thats behind your intercooler about 2-3mm in diametre.

But heres a pic that may help

hey thanks for the help.
yeah obviously bogged is a helpful kind of guy and is a useful as a half opened pocket knife.
i actually did some google research and couldn't find much info, there was a tonne on doing it on a 3ltr which i knew already.

b18c is that for a 3l or are you running a dawes and needle valve on a 4.2? really for boost gauge all id do is put a t piece between the 2 ends of the hose that goes to the turbo actuater. if its like my cousins turbo which is should be then the hose just runs from boost side of turbo to acutater. hose is about 3" long. and almost dead straight. hope this helps

yeah it's hard to find info on which hose to connect into.

You need to find the actuator on the turbo, do a quick google image search for turbo actuators so you know what it looks like.

Once you have found it there will be a small diameter hoe connected to it just follow that line until you find a nice spot away from the turbo heat to put in your T piece.
