Hey guys,

I bought this truck about 10 months ago after someone else had spent a lot on it :)

1991 GQ Ti with nearly no rust (lived most of it's life in Wodonga VIC before I bought it from a guy at Amberley QLD)

Interior is mint
  • TD42 (340,000)
  • Turbo kit (not sure what brand, need to remove a gas component to see the name, starts with Lux..Turbo - Garret turbo)
  • Diesel Gas from Diesel Gas Australia
  • Automatic
  • Cargo barrier
  • Outback Draws + fridge slide
  • 2" springs lift
  • 31.5 AT Tyres (I do lots of road driving but 33's would be nice for fun times)
  • Uniden UHF
  • Sony stereo + speakers
  • Electric everything
  • Opposite Lock dual battery controller replaced with Redarc dual battery controller
  • Blue Tongue air compressor
  • Headlight wiring upgrade (note: The mob who did it didn't upgrade the plugs, which have melted and are now upgraded)
  • Lightforce 170 spots

Since owning I have added
  • Full roof rack ($600 on ebay new, however if you get one of these, fill up the pipes with sump oil for a while and drain before mounting, I notice rust on my paintwork from where the water drips out on the roof, I need to take it off)
  • New old single side rear windows and rubbers
  • Redarc Dual battery controller (light but no cutover switch, that's what the jumper leads are for)
  • 40lt Engel
  • Upgraded wiring from front to rear + new earths

TODO
  • DONE - (no silicone from Nissan and a new fan clutch is $500!!! Did clean some leaves out from in between the radiator and aircon) Going in tomorrow to my mechanic to either put new silicone into the radiator fan so it firms up or tack weld it so it's simply solid. Trying to lower temp in the old girl as I want to tow a camper at 100-110 without worry!
  • Mount Soundstream amp behind rear seat.
  • Make door pods for some splits up front.
  • DONE - Make a dash pod to mount some new gauges above center section
  • Once I have gauges(etg, boost, temp, auto temp) start playing with boost, fuel & gas
  • DONE - Install Anderson plugs or similar at rear for camper

cheers

Of course I was not mad enough to buy the draws, came with the rig :)

Anyway, I would rather keep putting money into this than a new truck, it has 'character' as I like to tell the wife :)

Happy it's only boosting to 7psi, once the pyro is in I will put a boost knob in and try my hand at winding it up and fuel.

Gas is playing up a bit, need to read up on how to diagnose it. It's simply not injecting at the ratio it should be.

ebay.com (lots of autometer suppliers on there)

US is much cheaper and arrived in 4 days.

$50 for a gauge cup here, $13 there...

All new except the pyro which I scored for $50.

$45 for shipping but if you got all 3 together you would save more.

HID upgrade finally in with some pics!

I scored a free set from my mechanic. Found some time during my holidays to put them in.

I think I need to adjust them to aim a bit lower, they are nice and bright, but not too crazy.
