Got this today from FPQ
Morning all,

Please find attached a media release from FPQ regarding access to the plantation Licence Area of State forests in Queensland over the Christmas New Year period. Due to recent ,and forecasts of future heavy rainfall, FPQ is asking that the public refrain from accessing forestry roads during this period.

If you represent a club, I would appreciate it if you would forward this email to your members or make the releases available to them on your webpage etc.

FPQ appreciates your assistance and cooperation at this time. We would also like to take this opportunity to wish you all a merry and safe Christmas and look forward to working with you in the New Year.

Regards

I've seen how some of the GlassHouse tracks get after rain, as lots of vehicles keep driving there. The transit roads end up like rutted concrete after they dry out with all the ruts and tracks in them, and that sucks to drive on.

I'd rather voluntarily give up a drive day or three than have Forestry start gating all their tracks off, so I won't be going to GH until it's all dried out again. Which doesn't take long after the rain stops anyway.
