Hi all,
I was wondering what gauges I need to keep an eye on my 06 4.2td. i am getting a 3inch put through her in a few weeks and then taking her to get tuned up a bit. I was thinking pillar pod but don't know if 2 gauges are enough, I keep reading bout all the different gauges and don't exactly know what I need. I am not planning on going crazy in my girl just looking at beach driving and touring.

Depends mate, what do you want to look at? If you get a pyro guage then you can see your exhaust gas temp and make sure nothing is happening that is going to melt your pistons. Does the GU not come with a boost gauge already?

Are you confident enough to fit these yourself or looking for someone else to do it?

You can of course get other gauges, volt gauges, water temp, oil pressure etc. Name pretty much explains what they are used for.

I just brought some prosport gauges a EGT and a Boost for my patrol with a 6.5 turbo in it and cant seem to get them working following the instructions all I get is the gauges do the sweep then the gauges just flash white no reading at all when car is running

Probably start a new thread if you don't have one already mychev. When you do, explain or draw a diagram of how you have them wired up. It would be helpful if you could maybe scan and upload the wiring diagram that came with the gauges as well.
