need some advice guys,
for the 2.8 new clutch and gearbox work happening in net couple weeks.

new clutch the bloke reckons to try to keep dual mass fly wheel he can get it machined by locking the two surfaces together without damaging. (that is if it is still in good condition)

second he is going to fix the 3rd gear coming out under no load. he thinks its called the energiser? also going to do anything else that needs doing in there. he said they are easy to work on the labour is the expensive part so doing it at the same time as clutch.

anything else i should look at doing at same time on the mighty 2.8?

was thinking of reduction gear? is this needed for the mighty 2.8?

was looking at a budget of around 3000 - 3500 hopefully

so any other advice before i go back to mechanic tomorrow?

I had the rear main oil seal replaced whilst my clutch was being done.

Any idea what the reduction gears are worth and where to get from?
i am going to go see this bloke this morning to gry and get firm prices and time lines
