These are a few shots from tonight, between 7:48 and 9:00pm:

The water was nearly at knee level on the road (guiding a car across). I wonder what the eastern burbs will get?

Oh, and there's more to come apparently.

Cheers

What you've seen there i an overland flow path engineered into that subdivision. Pretty normal, thats just th water that doesn't fit in the stormwater pipes.

I'm out in pakenham and a few of the roads were pretty flooded. Couldn't tell if there was house inundation because by the time I got there the cops had it blocked off, but there was definately alot of water around.

Interesting how you notice alot more fourbies on the road when there's floods around. haha.

I doubt this would be cyclone left overs... That's all the way up on the NT QLD Border.

The satellite chart on ABOM shows a completely different weather system oover us.

I heard that the North Eastern parts of SA will feel leftovers from YASI though.

Geeze though, it's pretty wet down here.

Just on a side note Ray.... What camera/lens's are you using, the SKY in those images looks magic!

Just a little Olympus E-PL1.

Fail.... Ray,

Wheres the pics of your patrol driving through lol
Can you tell I miss not having a 4wd:p
I was too pissed to drive by that time. It's even worse now.

You call that water???? that's a puddle dude.
It's big enough that I can't jump it. :D

The white bits are the leftovers of a Jeep that couldn't get through. :D:D:D

Yeah, we almost got flooded in Aspendale,
I bolted off to bunnings to get a dirty water pump, which i climbed 3 shelves to get ( LOL)

Only to find the roads gridlocked to get back home.

I highbeamed the police, and he shrugged his shoulders as i yelled out,
"HEY CHIEF< I CAN GET THROUGH THAT"
So luckily he allowed me to overtake 10's and 10's and 10's of cars, and
went through water half way up me doors.

Ahhhh i knew there was a reason for gettin my Patrol,
and made it home just intime.
The backyard slopes towards the house, and being wrongly plumbed in the backyard prior to
movin in, it floods and nearly reaches the damn windows.

Can't wait to hire a bobcat.

Intersection of springvale rd and governor road is flooded and heaps of dead car alone springvale rd

Ahhh so thats why the cars were banked all the way up Springy rd...
That storm water flow on the side of springy rd, there at govenor/greens rd,
always fills up.

i diverted that traffic... went down boundary rd, to where the police had blocked off the last roundabout at Mordialloc/braeside way.
Wells rd ( just there where the kannook creek/ overflow lake is,
was the highest i saw in the area, and im greatfull the policeman let me go through it.

How did that much water fall in such a short time?
