G'day folks
Fan stopped working. Checked blower fuses (15amp) and both had melted into the fuse block. Removed and checked blower relay and the plastic surrounding the pin closest to the 'power in' pin was scorched. I am guessing that the faulty relay caused overheating of both blower fuses which then melted. Wiring behind fuse block appears ok. Can someone please confirm that faulty relay is most like cause?
Due to fuses melting into fuse block the fuse block positions for the blower fuses is now unusable. I am thinking to either:
1. Bypass relay and just wireup with inline fuses outside of fuse box. OR
2. Get fuse block from wreckers (or buy new) and cut and join all wires to new fuse block.
Advise or opinions appreciated.
Cheers
Kelly
