Im looking to buy my first 4x4, a Patrol Ute. (if anyone has one send me a message)

These probably seem like stupid questions but anyway..

I have been looking for a few weeks and i am utterly confused by what people mean by RB30 and one with 42, i have no clue what this means but i do know it has to do with the motor.

If somebody could please fill me in with what these terms mean that would be excellent.

Also, i was told that all GU utes came standard with a turbo, is this true?

Thank you

The term RB30 means it's a 3.0 litre and 42 is a 4.2 litre in a petrol GQ it will say TB42 and a diesel will say TD42

As far as I know there were early GU utes without a turbo, but later ones were all turbo, and mid to late 2002 onwards they were intercooled as well.

I am currently selling my ute (05 Coil Cab) but in all honesty I have had quite a few problems with it and wouldn't want to sell it to the good people of Patrol4x4.com as I just dont trust the thing. This is a very rare case and dont be turned off the cars they are great 99.9% of the time.
