How can you tell if your steering dampner is buggered? My car bounces a bit on the springs which indicates my ironman shocks might be stuffed.. Been there a few years and been through hell.
If I remove one, how can I tell if they are stuffed?
They are the large bore foam cell jobs. I don't think they sprung out when I put them in like gas shocks do.

I know a guy who doesn't even run one his car drives fine. I smashed mine so put a cheap tough dog one on it slightly masked my already hideous wobble slightly . Not worth spending money on really.
If you take it off and work it in and out if its easy to move its stuffed. They dont do a lot of work can last a long time.
