Hi All
I'm having some trouble with my 06 Gu IV, when i back off the accelerator in 4wd hi above 60Km/h there is a bad grinding noise coming from the front somewhere.
I noticed it when i was at Fraser Island 2 Weeks ago (its never happened on any other beach trips) and the noise is considerably worse when I'm in the sand compared to on the bitumen. it happens regardless if my hubs are on auto or lock.

I have checked and cleaned the auto locking hubs, checked the diff oil and there both fine, im stumped what it could be, so any feed back would be great

How high is your suspension lift if you have one ?

4" for me, probably sits around the 3.5" mark. Pinion/uni angles are all good on mine.

Hey mate, I had the same grinding noise while doing 80km/hr along 75 mile beach a few years ago on Fraser Island, fitted new uni-joints and all fixed.
