Hey guys,

I am wondering if anyone in Perth has a 2.8 air-con compressor they don't want or need any more. My air-con is stuffed and all it needed was a new bearing, however I tried to remove the bearing and failed so took it to a air-con specialist and he couldn't get it off either. Therefore the bearing is stuffed and is pretty much welded to the compressor shaft.

If people don't have a compressor hanging around anyone have any tips as to how I can fix it up?

Cheers,
Tim

Cheap... Hahahahaha

Mine did the same thing mate, looked and looked for a cheaper way out of it but had to bite the bullet and spend $900 on a new compressor fitted, regassed, new dryer and belt down in Rockingham.

Sucks balls hard but in summer and a week from driving from Perth to Cairns there was no rooting around with it. Glad I did though!

Might want to try 'when you have a working compressor' is give it a clean out with a hose etc on return from a bush/mud trip to keep it clean and last a little longer hopefully.
