Gday,

i am looking at getting a 2000 gu with the ZD30, and yes i have done lots of reading about them and the mods which will be getting done asap if i go ahead with the purchase.

The one i am looking at has recently had a engine rebuild and was hoping that might of fixed a little of the problems , but one question that comes to mind is that why would he sell it after a rebuild. The total km on the car is around 198k and the engine was rebuilt about 3000km ago roughly.

anyhow what do you guys think? Any questions you think i should also ask the owner?

Thanks in Advance guys :coffeeti:

I bought one under almost the exact same circumstances, in my opinion it is the better buy. Ask the owner if he has the receipts for the fix or if the engine was acutally"new" not rebuilt, reco, or second hand.

If you had just blown up a ZD30, then started to find out their reputation, then you would want to sell. Then there are the people with a bit of knowledge on the issue who cash in and pick up a good buy and put a few mods on it and drive it for another 200,000km.
Just ask if he knows what caused the issue, and if the cause has been replaced (ie maf sensor).
