Iv had a few probs recently with my 4wd hub being hard to engage/disengage i took it off and cleaned it all up but made no difference works fine off the car though there is some slight rust inside which i think may be the problem. as my car is a daily driver i didnt want any down time so i bought 2 new hubs off ebay $200 for 2 better than $750 for 1 from local nissan dealer!!!
The new hubs had an extra ring that was stuck in the back of the alloy hub with tat removed they were identical so i thought.
When in free the older hubs gears disengage 2mm further than the new which makes the new ones touch the gear thet splines onto axle the gears just touch on the corner causing a nasty grinding noise when driving.
They were labled GQ just wanting to know if there was any difference between GQ and GU?
I have contacted seller but no reply yet anyone else had any dramas like this one?

I put GQ ones on my GU with no issues. Have you got all the associated bits to go with it.

You will need a spacer (looks like an egg ring) a bushing where the drive clutch runs in and the correct thickness snap ring (0.4mm) 0.016 in or less for the correct end play in the drive shaft.

Don't over pack the hubs with grease as this will also make the hubs difficult to engage. Hope this helps. Cheers.
