That is the craziest problem i've ever heard. I cannot think of any way that your wiring of your spotlights could be associated with that issue!

Sorry i couldn't help, maybe an auto leckie on here can shed some light on the situation... What a bugger of a problem! ha.

Well, thats one from left field alright... I can only think of one thing off hand

Given the known issues with the GU Sub Tank Computer and also the Sub Tank Earthing the Spotties are somehow affecting the Fuel Transfer system via the earth.

Two Questions, how did you determine the fuel is transferring from the Aux tank when on Hi beam and does it do it on Hi Beam spotties off, Hi Beam spotties on or both.

If only the Spotties, try earthing them back to the battery (even just as a temp measure for fault finding)

the fuel was getting used from the sub tank on high beam with spotties on. Spotties off, fuel on main tank getting used.Spotties earth to bullbar, relay earth to body.No isolator switch was fitted ,so we had to disconnect wire from relay as to use high beam.

As above, and while you are in there, not a bad idea to clean the main earth to the body/engine points as well, dirty earths can cause problems without any spotlight fitment.

I second this.

I also would remove the spot light earth from the bull bar and run it straight to the negative of the battery.
OK, thanks for the extra info Steeples

and I am with Yendor and IAFNAN ... So X3 on the earthing...and fit an Isolation switch in the Cab for the spotties as well.

Flash the wrong dude one day (night) and you'll either get a sticker or a can of beer thru the screen
