Yet another Mod finished..
I purchased this from Extreme Limits Offroad | 4x4 Accessories | Off Road Equipment | 4wd Accessories | Tanami Pumps
and couldn't be happier.
Fitting of the unit was fairly basic, the only difficulty was finding the correct placement for the senders.

Regards Nuke.
Note for anyone that is interested I can colour match the paint.

That looks great!

I got the same pillar pod from the same supplier.

How did you match the trim colour?
Yeah also interested in the trim matching...

Lets just say I have a 15 thousand dollar machine that does it for me...:)
Very interested in what colour/type paint you used
I think that top add is from a fellow forum member who sells gauges as well..
Very interested in the paint....where abouts are you?
I took mine to a spray painter and they colour matched it no dramas, any spray painter could do it
For those needing to paint the pillar pod, save your money and do it yourself. All you need is some K&H Grease and Wax Remover to ensure surface is clean. Once clean, give it a good even coat of K&H Clear Plastic Adhesion Primer all over (so paint sticks properly) then apply the Paint Match Can (get from any good paint shop). Cost you <$50 and will have enough do yours and a whole bunch of your mates as well. Super easy job, both the primer and interior paints dry with in minutes. You will have the job done in under 30 minutes.
Got my gauge pod from Autron, took the pillar trim down to superrubbish and got a can that was almost exactly the same colour, along with some plastic bonding primer for $27 the lot, and did the job. Paint dried and bob's your aunty, you cant tell the difference. A mate who has a very modified Tojo 80 series 1-HDT-FT looked at it and was impressed that I, a new guy to mods, could get the paint to match so well all on my lonesome. Beginers luck maybe!!

Now, just gotta hook up the boost and pyro (probe already installed just before turbo), job for my next trip home.

I just took one of my grab handles to bunnings and got them to mix up some acrylic house paint to match the colour, got 250ml for ablut $20.
Just paint it on with a brush but need to use a "dabbing" motion with the brush to get the required stipple finnish, plus you will have lots left over.
I have had mine on for about 2 years and has no sign of wear.

Any one intredted in the Ipswich area i have some paint for a GU IV piller.
I just took mine too the panel beater with the original trim for colour matching and got him to spray it for me $50 I was happy with that..
Ive just brought the same as you from the same people very good to deal with but could you tell me where you placed the wires for the gauges
Scott
hey, has anyone bought a pillar pod with 3 spots for gauges?
just wondering if 3 is too much, does it block the drivers view and look a bit out of place?
cheers

I'm 6'1" and it's fine. Thought it was going to cut the top views of the gauges off but it perfect.

cheers mate that does look really neat! appreciate it
Does anyone know if u can get a single pod. I have a space for second gauge but no plan for a 2nd battery for a while and I have an Autron boost/egt gauge. I'm sick of the ugly hole.

Mine had a single pod in it when I bought it but have since replaced it with a double one. It's not the prettiest it's moulded over the top of the original trim

Put something else in it, even a dummy gauge.

Or you could do what a friend did and put a digital speed gauge in there. He, like me, has the steering wheel so low that you can not see the speed between 80 and 140kph and now with a quick glance right he knows his speed.

I could not be bother as I know my speed by where the needle falls across the KPH letters and by revs when in 5th. But my mate drives a cruiser, so of course he needs help in manner of simple things.
