I have a 35 (315/75/16) hanging off my back door, and it has been there a few years now with no dramas, made up a spacer bracket myself to fit it.
The door does creak and groan a bit now days when you open it, but there is no sign of any sagging or cracking at all (yet
) I always wanted a rear bar and wheel carrier but it isn't too high on my list these days.
