Hi all,

Does anybody have a copy or know where I can get a copy of the Owner's Manual that is suppose to come with the Patrol. Mines a 2007 GU4 3L (manual) with missing owner's manual.

Need to confirm what oils I am meant to use in the Patrol.

Off the Castrol Lube Guide website:

For (2007-2010 models):
Manual Transmission: VMX-M 75W/80
Front Diff: EPX 80W/90
Rear Diff: LSX 90
Transfer: Transmax Z

For (2004-2006 models):
Manual Transmission: VMX-M 75W/80
Front Diff: EPX 80W/90
Rear Diff: LSX 85W/140
Transfer: TQ DIII

Is it safe to say my Patrol is a 2007 and not a late 2006?

Also, I am assuming its got a rear LSD, anyway to confirm this? (there are some letters etched on the bottom of the diff).

Or should use the following, based on what I gather from a numerous of posts:
Manual Transmission: VMX 80
Front Diff: EPX 80W/90
Rear Diff: LSX 85W/140
Transfer: Transmax Z

Your thoughts please, and where to get a copy of the owner's manual?

Thanks guys,

Jason.

Cant help on the owners manual, maybe get onto Nizzbits/Gary for a new one.

As for the oil recommendations, you can run,

For (2007-2010 models):
Manual Transmission: VMX-M 75W/80 or VMX 90 with the Nulon antifriction modifier (N70?)
Front Diff: EPX 80W/90
Rear Diff: LSX 90 or LSX 85W/140
Transfer: Transmax Z

Do you have auto hubs fitted or manual hubs?

If you have the auto hubs, then go with the transmax Z.

And you have the best LSD on the market fitted into the rear diff as you suspected.

Thanks Helms,

Yep I've got the auto hubs.

Sorry, my mistake, the VMX-M 75W/80 is actually the VMX-M 75W/85, my typo earlier on.

Can't seem to find the VMX 90 on the castrol website though.

Thanks Helms!

Anyone else out there with a GU 2007 or later model changing their oils themselves, or I am guessing everyones still got their Patrols under warranty and letting the service centre to do the work, hence unsure what oils are currently in their diffs, etc.

G'day mate, I think you are confused ther 2007 model is either a series 5 or 6 model depending on the month of build. I have a 2007 model an it is a series 6 model (manual). as for the oil intervals as per book i will get back to you shortly as the truck is down stairs.
