mate good write up currently stripping a dx 94 model td42 with denco lowmount kit on it to start my td swap from zd your info is awesome and will help me heaps I have
Nissan gu td mounts (4bolt) stock 94dx had 4bolt mounts so have them too
td motor and dump pipe
td gq bellhousing clutch fork and carrier ect
td starter
hi pressure line of pwr steer pump on the gq
zd rad 5xxxks old as I not long replaced it and header ect
I need to sort a few things
what heater hoses ect do I need to run the zd rad and header tank?
aircon line to suit gu td42
wiring but you've answered most of my questions on that
and I think just a few bits n pieces of hoses and clamps ect that you've helped me with so thanks heaps!!!!!
also trent has steered me in the right direction also (ako89)

Hey mate, hard to get on here at times and write the full info required.

ZD30 Radiator and ZD30 hose from top of the radiator to the header tank.
GU TD42 top and bottom radiator hoses. this matches the engine outlet diameter to the ZD30 radiator inlet diameter. GQ TD42 radiators are the same size both ends.
Custom aircon lines.

Good luck with your conversion!

Update on mine - Soon to be tuned with new GTX2863 turbo and intercooler. Stay tuned!

I did ask this off Bexis but he hasnt been active on the forum for a while.
How did you go with registering the new motor in the car? Any issues with emission on the old motor into the newer GU? I'm trying to work out whether to do a mod application prior to my conversion or wing it at the end. I'm putting a 93 td42 into a 2003 GU. Thanks

Hey Grimmy, I'm in VIC so it's quiet a simple process as long as the motor was an option at the time if manufacturer of the vehicle in question. Vic Roads have a change of engine detail form and then rock up at vic roads for and visual inspection of the engine number.

Hey Mate Awsome Write Up! how did you go with the Glow Plug Sensors are they just swap and connect or do i splice the loom and join with the appropiate connections on the td42?
