I need to get onto a rear axle seal leak that has developed on my GU TB45. From what I have researched and rang around, there are kits for "full floating axle" $132 trade from Repco or "semi floating axle" $53 from Repco. Without pulling my axle out I have no idea which one to buy.

To further confuse matters Bayswater Bearings only have a listing for Drum brake H290 bearings/seals but assure me that they are all the same....................???????????.

Worst case I will rip the axle out and read the part no then go from there.
Would be handy if someone had a part number for the kit.

Buy one of each and take the ones back that dont fit

As far as i know the wagon's all have semi floating and ute's have full floating.The inner seal is common of leaking we do a few here at nissan part #43252-vh300 and are around the $9 dollar mark

doesnt the full floating axel have the hub sticking out the side sort of like the front hubs , and semi floating sits pretty flat with the wheel ???

Full floater is for the leaf cab only- the type with the big arse hub hanging out of the wheel centre.
