h260 drum to disc conversion help please!!

could someone please help me with a list of the parts needed as i am wanting to do this to my gq.. the reason for this is ive just purchased new drums, shoes, and cylinders but cant get any adjusters because of the lack of wrecked gqs with the h260 rear.. Nissan want $120 each for genuine ones and I think thats just crazy!! so i thought ill go all out and never have to deal with this again..

I think all GQ's with H260's are limited to leaf-sprung utes with drums. You might be able to fit GU stuff from a ZD30 or TB48 model. Go the ZD if possible because the TB has the integrated park brakes.

not sure what your asking here, you want to swap out your leaf sprung H260 for a coil sprung H233, or are you asking about changing from drums to disc ?

I'm wanting to do the same.... but I've got a wrecked GQ. I was told that you just need to change the master cylinder from the drum for the disk master.

I would like conformation of this also, I was hoping it was a straight swap over (fingers crossed).

why did you buy new drums and shoes if you were going disk, or do you mean you got new rotors and calipers?

maybe it could be a race to see who can get their's done first.... I've been saying I'd do it for ages, but I keep breaking otherstuff so it gets pushed down the line

so now im gunna try another way with the discs.. unless my search for the adjusters turns out right..

one wreckers i went to only wanted $11 per adjuster so i went all the way there to find they didnt have any even tho the fella on the phone said they had 3 GQs.. well i saw 1GQ and 2MQs which are differant... ahhh well **** happens ay!!!

i did a disc on my GQ H260 use WB statesman Brakes, GQ Rotors and just plasma cut my own brackets out of 75x10 (IIRC)

Have you compared the adjusters to a GU type, or a H233 GQ with drums? And have you tried a brake specialist like ABS or PBR? What's up with your adjusters anyway?

not yet mate as the floods around brisbane have put a few of the wreckers i go to under water and closed em down.. but i have found one down yatala way with a few gq wagons so ill go check em out.. brake specialist said they cant get em so tried to find a ute but no luck at all.. hopefully the wagons the same setup
