Hi all new to the community,
I recently bought a gq tb42e and have gone about removing the gas but just wonder if the two heater hoses in the picture below.
They run the the gas converter so if I were to get rid of these two hoses and join them together and make them shorter, is that how it is meant to be? Have looked for a picture of an engine bay online but haven’t found a clear enough one to see.

I have just finished removing my Gas from my GU 4.2td. My heater hoses were both cut at the converter to allow the hot water to pass through same so you had an inlet and an outlet. I could have just rejoined the originals with a joiner where they each had a tee but I chose to replace with the original short sections of heater hose. I got my replacements from Automotive Superstore. You should be able to find them on a Mackays or Gates catalogue for your vehicle. I can't see how you could join them together as you suggest as you would not then be able to use your heater.
